The Bourbon County Jail is currently seeking applications to hire a reliable, confident and career minded individual looking for a career in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer.

Starting pay: 16.50 per hour

Promotional opportunities available

KPERS retirement

Health, dental, vision and life insurance plans available

Must be 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED

No felony convictions or charges of domestic violence

Prior corrections or equivalent law enforcement experience preferred but not required, willing to train the right candidate.

Uniforms and equipment provided

Shift work required, shifts are either 6:00am to 6:00pm or 6:00pm to 6:00am with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

Overtime opportunities available.

Great way to gain experience for those interested in a career as a certified law enforcement officer in the future.
