Police Officer, Minneapolis Police Department

The Minneapolis Police Department is currently taking applications for the position of Police Officer.  Minneapolis is a community of approximately 2000 with excellent schools and located approximately 20 miles North of Salina.

The city has an excellent benefit package that includes paid health insurance, vacation, sick leave, KPERS retirement and paid holidays.  All duty-related equipment is supplied.  The position is a full-time position and officers work 12-hour shifts.  Salary is based on qualifications.  Must be 21 years of age, a US citizen, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Kansas driver’s license, no felony or major misdemeanor convictions, no domestic violence issues, no Brady – Giglio issues.  Must be able to communicate both written and verbally, must have average computer skills, must be able to pass written test, background check, pre-employment physical and psychological testing, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and oral interview.   Must live within a 45 minute response time of city limits. Currently certified officers are preferred, but not required, we will train the right person. Starting Pay is $20+ for certified Officer depending on experience.
