The Winfield Police Department is currently seeking to fill vacant positions within our agency. Winfield, Kansas, is located 42 miles southeast of Wichita and is positioned for steady and continuous growth. The Winfield Police Department consists of a strong team of 25 full‑time and 3 part‑time officers, along with 4 full‑time and 1-part-time civilian employee(s). The Winfield Police Department has recently moved into a new state‑of‑the‑art facility. This modern building features a large conference and training room, a break room with a full kitchen, and an indoor/outdoor exercise area shared with the Winfield Fire Department.
The pay range for a patrol officer is from $19.43 to $28.41 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Lateral transfers of certified officers receive a starting wage of at least $20.40 per hour, based on qualifications and years of experience. The City of Winfield provides Kansas Police and Fire Retirement for all full‑time officers.
