The City of Belleville, Kansas is seeking to fill the position of Certified Police Officer. The Belleville Police Department serves a community of 2000 people and works a 12-hour shift schedule with alternating weekends off. We have modern vehicles and equipment.

- Pay depending on qualifications and experience. Starting pay for an uncertified Police Officer 1 pre academy is $19.57 per hours. Already certified applicants may start at Police Officer 2 with a starting base pay of $21.63 per hour. Starting pay will be based on training and experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer law enforcement certified but willing to train the right applicant
- Physically and mentally able to perform officer duties
- Must not have any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions; or any Brady-Giglio issues
- Possess good communication and writing skills
- Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a positive manner
