The City of Greensburg is seeking a Chief of Police. Greensburg is a small city of approximately 800 residents on busy Highway 54/400. Current department is budgeted for Chief, one FT officer and two PT officers. Under the administrative direction of the City Administrator, the Chief of Police performs a wide range of public safety and administrative duties. This full-time position is responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and operation of the Police Department. The Police Chief oversees all law enforcement services, department personnel, budgeting, policy development, investigations, public safety initiatives, and community policing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Five years law enforcement experience preferred with three years in a supervisory role. Must be 21 years of age. Must have a valid driver’s license. High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be KLETC certified. Must pass extensive background check and pre-employment drug screening. Benefits include:

Wage range $23.11-37.96/hr, DOQ.
